Naomi Robinson Ceramics

A recent graduate of the Liverpool Hope University with a Bachelor of Design, Naomi Robinson took to specialising in Ceramics during her third year. Naomi describes; “I was really drawn to the material and the process of Throwing. Using this process I make collections of memorial vessels, taking inspiration from mourning, loss and remembrance.”

I use these inspirations along with my own personal messages and words from song lyrics and poetry; distorting these words to create hidden messages which are contained and concealed within the vessels.

It has been a very busy couple of months, exhibiting at 53 Degrees in York and Great Northern Contemporary Craft Fair. I have an upcoming exhibition at Unit Twelve Gallery in Staffordshire, and have just been accepted for Hot House 2013 with the Crafts Council. It is such an honour to be a part of all of these events, and I hope that this will continue throughout my career as a Ceramicist.
