Vivienne Westwood, Matthew Williamson, Henry Holland, Sarah Burton, Wayne Hemingway, John Richmond, Ossie Clark, Agyness Deyn and Karen Elson are all fashion icons and they all have roots in North West of England. So it’s about time that Manchester hosted its own Fashion Week.

Therefore, we’re pleased to announce that between Monday 9th and Saturday 14th April, the first Manchester Fashion Week will take place, sponsored by Manchester’s Missguided online fashion retailer. “With Missguided currently being Manchester’s most exciting and forward thinking young fashion brand it was a natural fit for us to be main sponsors of the first ever Manchester Fashion Week.” (Nitin Passi Founder)

The people behind the Manchester Fashion Week are, Mark Blundell and Jonathan Sassen. “Manchester is such a vibrant city, a creative, multicultural melting pot. It has a unique vibe, one that clearly comes through Mancunian fashion and styling. Manchester has been long overdue an event such as Manchester Fashion Week,” says Jonathan.

The team is completed by Ruth Goulding, “‘Manchester Fashion Week has a great blend of fashion and show content and production. From straight high fashion – where a strong focus will be on the garments, designs and looks – to high street shows, which will reveal accessible, easy to wear trends, with exciting production.
