Clothing Accessories from Manchester Art Graduate Rianna Phillips

Today we showcase the designs and current collection of former Manchester School of Art Graduate; Rianna Phillips. Currently selling her fabulous designs and accessories on her online store, she has some magnificent work which has taken inspiration from a recent visit to the London Fashion Week.

Rianna graduated from the Manchester School of Art last July and decided to pursue her passion for creating clothing accesories as a set to accompany her final year collection. The embellished tote bag and digitally printed scarves were all part of her uni collection and were quickly loved by family and friends who began to request certain types and colours. This interest naturally developed into Rianna setting up her own online shop.

“I really enjoy making the accessories; it is definitely a labour of love! Every piece is hand-made in my home studio and always created for a purpose. The large portfolio bags were inspired by a trip to London fashion week where I noticed that people didn’t seem to have the right shaped bag, flat enough to keep their IPads, Mac books and glossy show tickets flat. Nobody wants to ruin their fashion show tickets!”

Her current collection involves a great deal of hand dyed fabrics in bright vibrant colours, contrasted with metallic panels and hand dyed zips. She has also been hard at work creating dust bags with hand dyed cord, so now each customer gets a dust bag to keep their bag safe in.

You can buy these designs at or Etsy and follow her blog Appliquefashion.
