Marni for H&M: Shots from the Latest Collection

Martyna Sobol

Finally we have some pictures from the latest Marni collection for H&M! The collection will now be availible from March 8th in stores and online. From the printed silk shirts and contrasting silk trousers, to the metallic wooden-heeled shoes and oversized floral necklaces, the chunky plastic bangles and very chic sequined collar, the range is full of little delights.

In the past, H&M collaborated with such amazing guest-designers like Karl Lagerfeld (2004), Stella Mccartney (2005) and the avant-garde Victor and Rolf (2006) and in November 2007, the company launched a collection by Italian designer Roberto Cavalli also also in 2007 design with Kylie Minogue. For spring and summer 2009, the British designer Matthew Williamson created two exclusive ranges for the company – the first being a collection of women’s clothes released in selected stores. The second collection, which was available in every company store worldwide, saw Williamson branch into menswear for the first time and also featured swimwear for men and women. Further collaborations included those with Sonia Rykiel, Jimmy Choo, French fashion house Lanvin and Elin Kling with Versace in 2011. This year though, is all about Marni and for me, the fabrics and prints guarantee that it’s going to be one of H&M’s most popular high street collections!

“I wanted to create a true Marni wardrobe by revisiting all our favourite pieces in signature fabrics and prints . . . as always, I love juxtaposing prints and colours, mixing modern tribal with Bauhaus graphic and adding sporty utilitarian elements.” (Vogue) – Founder  Consuelo Castiglioni
