Martin Henfield Auctions Students’ Artwork

Today we bring you news of an exciting new Art Auction due to take place on the 6th December, courtesy of the University of Bolton. What’s more, former BBC presenter Martin Henfield will be auctioning the work of second year Fine Art students, known collectively as Access Approved Art in order to raise funds for their first major art exhibition! Thanks to various organisations over Bolton including the establishment of the University, there is a new wave of contemporary artists in the town and it is events like this that will boost the local creative community.

A spokesperson for Access Approved Art stated: “We are thrilled to have Martin as our Auctioneer – this is an amazing opportunity to enjoy the excitement of the auction room, to see our artwork come under the hammer in the local community and to raise funds for our exhibition at the same time. We’ve already had a fantastic reaction to our artwork at our Art & Craft Stalls at the University this week, and really hope that funds from the Auction will help us secure the perfect local venue for our exhibition in May 2012” (courtesy of the University of Bolton website).

The auction will take place at 7.00pm in the Deane Lecture Theatre at the University, with the doors opening at 6.00pm for full viewing of all the items on sale. Be sure to get involved!
