Henry Holland Fashion Designer Talks About His Bolton Roots

Fan of Henry Holland? Did you know that this hugely successful fashion designer has his roots in Bolton, and more specifically Bury Grammar School? Taken from The Bolton News here cites;

“Being from the North means there is a sense of humour and a sensibility to what I do that is very northern.

We are very tongue-incheek and self-effacing.

The feel of my clothes and the sense of humour behind them reflect that.” –Henry Holland

Notion Magazine: Nicola Roberts

Known for designing “with a London girl aesthetic in mind and is continually inspired by the variety of attitudes, cultures and mindsets that exist throughout the UK capital. The House of Holland cool is cool, confident and savvy and wears labels without letting them wear her.”

You can follow the House of Holland and his work on his Facebook page and twitter @henryholland. Not bad for a man who started out at Bury Grammar School!

  1. Heres for hoping that i can follow in ‘Henry Holland’s footsteps when i begin to embark on my adventure into the fashion industry.

    • From small acorns to big trees grow, it must be really inspiring to see someone as recognizable as Henry Holland who started out in life in the same area as you begin. Maybe you’ll be even more successful then Henry?
